Nationals Split a Pair in Season Opening Weekend

The Nationals skated to a 4-2 victory over the Bussey Auto Brokers Pens in NB/NS Female Midget AAA play on the weekend. Haley Tofts picked up a goal and 2 assists while Julia Downey added a marker and affiliates Myriam Richard and Janelle Bastarache rounded out the scoring for the Nationals.
The Nationals were downed by the Station 6 Fire out of Halifax 11-1 in play on Saturday. Melody Brown scored the lone goal for the Nationals.
